North Bay NEXT 2023, the second annual conference connecting the Marin + Sonoma startup community, will be held on Tuesday, April 25 at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park.

MSIV officially anounced that it has raised $6.6 million to back Marin + Sonoma startups. The PRWEB release details that MSIV Fund I received backing from 62 leaders and is the North Bay’s first regional venture capital fund.

MSIV announces its investment in Santa Rosa’s Operant Networks, a software company that is simplifying networking and cybersecurity for our country’s renewable energy future. Operant Networks powers machine-to-machine communications using a novel networking technology that provides intelligence and security on data packets.

Nearly one hundred MSIV community members joined Marin Sonoma Impact Ventures (MSIV) at Sonoma’s Kivelstadt Cellars & WineGarten for our second annual Fall Party. The event celebrated the growth, progress, and momentum of the North Bay’s startup movement in 2022.

On August 23, Marin county approved its first-ever “Marin County Economic Vitality Strategic Plan.” MSIV was pleased that entrepreneurship was included as a flagship initiative after our growing community provided key inputs to the plan.

On July 14th, MSIV held its inaugural Day of Service. Volunteers from the MSIV community rolled up their sleeves and joined a habitat restoration project in Novato’s Bahia Wetlands.
